John Heywood FCA, (Finance Director and Company Secretary) qualified as a chartered accountant in 1959. After National Service in 1961 he obtained post qualification experience with Coopers & Lybrand a leading international firm of chartered accountants. In 1966 he became Finance Director of Arlington Motor Holdings and was appointed Managing Director in 1976 following the acquisition by Unigate plc and was responsible for their retail motor interests as a Director of Wincanton Ltd. From 1992 – 2004 he was a practicing chartered accountant as the proprietor of Knight Wheeler & Co, a firm of chartered accountants based in Waltham Abbey, Essex.

Joseph Marffy ACA is a chartered accountant and has been involved in numerous flotations, acquisitions new issues and restructuring. He was the founding shareholder and director of Ruegg & Co Limited, a corporate finance company which is regulated by the Financial Services Authority, a member of the Stock Exchange and a Nominated Adviser for AIM.

David Morris MI Mech E, (Non-executive) is a Chartered Engineer. He has had a full career in the Ministry of Defence from Apprentice at a Research and Development Establishment followed by extensive periods in: Design and development of simulation and detection equipment, Quality Assurance, culminating in membership of the team that established the modern quality standards used in this country today, project management of weapon system and in production engineering. He was appointed Director of the Royal Ordnance Small Arms Factory. Enfield. and later when the Organisation was privatised became director of Royal Ordnance Small Arms Limited prior to the acquisition by British Aerospace. Further appointments in Royal Ordnance followed, managing other Royal Ordnance factories including Heavy engineering plant in North East England and chemical processing factory in South Wales. Following early retirement in 1994 he has mainly operated in the role of consultant in North London.

Martin Ingram (non-executive) has spent his working life in the City of London before retiring in 2005. He was formerly chairman and managing director of Brown Shipley Stockbroking Limited and has extensive experience of smaller quoted companies.

Dr Andrew Duffield B. Pharm. PhD., M.R. Pharm.S., M.B.A., (Chairman), has worked with a number of multi-national and smaller companies in various senior technical and regulatory functions in particular with Merrell Dow(1980-83), Tillotts Group (1983-87), G D Searle (1987-91), Allergan (1991-94) and Cambridge Laboratories Ltd (2005- ). He has also run his own consultancy business for more than 10 years, working with a wide range of clients in the area of product development, project management, regulatory affairs and licensing of technology.

Dr Roger Oakes, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the Association for Human Pharmacology in the Pharmaceutical Industry. He has throughout his career specialised in drug development, from a regulatory and technical perspective. He was President of Pharmaceutical Development at Senetek plc and a Main Board Director from September 1995 to May 1998. He was managing Director of Leicester Clinical Research Centre for five years to February 1995 and for two years to February 2002. Earlier in his career he was Product Development Director of Tillotts Laboratories (now part of Pfizer via Pharmacia and Upjohn) for seven years until January 1990.
